Classes
All classes will include elements of the Hatha Yoga tradition.
Basics: Safely build your practice and deepen your experience of the fundamentals of Yoga, with emphasis on proper alignment and breath awareness. *Appropriate for Beginner to Advanced
All Levels: A continuation of BASICS, with the introduction of more challenging poses to increase stamina and mental focus. Includes some flow and inversions. *Some experience is recommended
YogaCore: The perfect blend of strength and ease, with poses that challenge core, and upper and lower body strength. Balanced with poses that open, lengthen and release tension, cultivating stability for the spine. *Knowledge of Yoga basics is recommended
Power Flow:A vigorous Vinyasa practice, flowing smoothly, from one pose to the next, with the use of sun salutations and synchronized breath. Builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. Advanced methods of practice will be introduced. *Experience of Basics is strongly recommended
Gentle/Restorative: Experience the calming and restorative benefits of Yoga through the use of gentle flow, postures with longer holds, mindful breathing and props for support. Soothing and nurturing, allowing the body to return to its natural state of balance. *For all levels. No prior experience necessary
Kids Yoga: Give your child the gift of Yoga! Formatted with great music, favorite poses, breath work and fun activities. Helping kids develop mental focus, inner strength, ease and skills to last a lifetime. Offered in a Series format.
Therapeutic Yoga: A restorative style class with a focus on the therapeutic aspects of yoga. The class starts with a focus on breath and then moves through postures focused on core stability. Then we do longer, restorative postures for flexibility and relaxation. The class ends with a guided relaxation.
Beginner Yoga/Meditation: This class is especially for the beginner yoga and meditation student who wants to increase flexibility and learn easy ways to manage stress.
Massage
Thai Yoga Therapy: An ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurveda, and spiritual practice. This unique system of Yoga therapy combines rhythmic pressure, deep stretching, gentle twisting, energy work and meditation. It creates a powerful release of stress and an increase in energy and well-being, deepening the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Traditional Massage: Traditional Sweedish massage is used to create relaxation and balance to the body. Using gentle, elongating strokes, all major muscle groups are bathed in new blood flow, breathing is deepened, and stress is dissolved. Therapeutic massage is used in cases of chronic or acute muscular pain, constriction, or spasm. Utilizing assisted stretches and specific neuromuscular pattern release techniques, muscles are coaxed to return to their natural state of balance.
